- The Royal Star Magnolia, scientifically known as Magnolia stellata 'Royal Star,' is a deciduous shrub or small tree famous for its striking spring blossoms. - Belonging to the Magnoliaceae family, it is a cultivar of the Magnolia stellata species and originates from Japan. - 'Royal Star' is highly esteemed for its early blooming habit, producing its dazzling flowers even before its leaves fully unfurl. - The star-shaped flowers are pure white and emit a delicate, pleasant fragrance, creating a captivating and elegant visual display. - With a compact, rounded shape, 'Royal Star Magnolia' typically reaches a height of 2 to 4 meters (6 to 13 feet), making it ideal for smaller gardens and urban landscapes.

Most trees are sold by caliper size (mm), which measures the external diameter of the trunk, 6” up from the bottom of each tree in Aug-Sept.

Multi-stemmed shrubs and conifers that branch near the base are sold by height (cm) measured around the same time.

Plants are lifted out of the field and put into wirebaskets once weather permits and temperatures cool (in spring and fall) so trees are dormant for best results with transportation and planting.
