When ordering true ephemerals, please be aware the time when plants flower and appear above ground is very short in early spring, coinciding with rising light and temperature levels ahead of the time before leaves are on the trees.For certain species, depending on the time of year, expect them to look different - they may appear yellow or wilted - during the dieback period or completely dormant with no plant material left above ground when they are in bulb form. This is normal and expected. The bloom window is brief, and shipping in bulb form is great for the health for the plants. With planting and care to minimize competition from weeds, you will see them bloom and thrive and bloom next season.
